This week, Square Enix released an update to the original Zeta Blades series that was called the "Raiden of Battle Zeta Blitz." This feature introduces a new version of each Z-Blades that would take effect on October 5.

It's been an interesting series of updates, with both players and designers going through some rough cut-aways in order to determine what's appropriate in each new Z-blade. The first is that the ability to launch Z-blades is optional, but you can still earn them after completing a set number of other parts. We'll see what this mode adds next week.

For what it's worth, the full version of the Z-Blades feature is now available through the PSN store; if you've been wondering what that meant, it's still being discussed at the beta site.
